Pros
For the majority of the time I was with the company we had an amazing team in place who all got on brilliantly and worked incredibly well together. Unfortunately due to the reasons listed below 90% of these people have now all left the company and the working environment has taken a considerable turn for the worse. During the interview stage the company and your job role will be sold to you in a very positive light but please take any perks and promises on face value as sadly they do not translate in reality.
Cons
Directors completely lack the business acumen needed to run the company. They force all major decisions on to their staff without any input themselves and then penalise them when things don't go how they wanted them to. One of the directors is also completely unprofessional in the workplace; speaks derogatorily about staff behind their back and via email, completely ignores all staff members who resign for the duration of their notice period even if they have worked hard for the company for 3+ years, and tends to conveniently be away on holiday in times of hardship. 14 members of staff have left during the last 5 months (over halving the workforce) due to either being forced/bullied out by the directors & senior management or pushed to leave due to the uncomfortable working environment they create when in the office. Insufficient provision of management and direction given to new members of staff hired to fill the many gaps in the workforce has meant that the vast amount of extra work created has unfairly fallen on the shoulders of the longer remaining staff, in turn completely changing their job role and thus their career against their will. Zero positive recognition or praise is given and no training is ever offered or encouraged. Investing in their staff seems to be the lowest on their list of priorities. If you want a career full of growth and opportunity then this is definitely not the place for you. Superficial perks such as Monday breakfast and beer Friday that have been put in place to boost moral are given and taken away as the directors please.
