Pros

Housing and dining compensation but it’s mediocre housing and food

Cons

Only supposed to work 20hrs/wk but ended up being more like 40-60hrs/wk. Upper management claims that they care about resident’s health but demonstrates time after time that they only care about advancement in their department and only do things that look beneficial to residents when in reality it’s something the residents don’t want. They seek out feedback from residents but then ignore it.

Pros

Opportunity to help students better understand course material and succeed academically. Developed leadership, communication, and mentoring skills through working with students and faculty. Gained experience facilitating discussions and supporting a positive learning environment.

Cons

Limited hours and income due to the part-time nature of the position. Balancing Learning Assistant responsibilities with coursework and other commitments could be challenging during busy weeks. Student participation and engagement levels varied, which could sometimes make sessions less interactive than intended.

Low stress, great experience, good management

Cons

The pay isn't great, Decent for a student position but you are limited on hours and don't get raises often if at all.
