Pros

Sincere organization; amazing mental health experience. Health insurance for full-timers (Kaiser).

Cons

Problems with some middle management choices. Talented people frequently leave too soon; burned out or less motivated people stay too long. Frequent call-outs leave reliable people carrying the burden of call volume. Limited roles; limited/no progression; call volume spikes; too many lines/protocols; abusive calls; EPS contract line leaves phone workers as punching bags for another organization's failures.

Pros

Most of the people are friendly and eager to help. Staff are not required to take a minimum number of calls, generous pto, opportunities for growth. Management is open to feedback.

Cons

There has been a great deal of growth at the agency, with what seems to be ever increasing turnover rates. With the growth and people leaving it's difficult to maintain fully staffed shifts. This creates a stressful environment where people don't get their breaks and start comparing their own calls taken to others, creating resentment. Pay is lower than other comparable positions.
