Pros
Pay for non-hospital/non-union work is fair.
Cons
This company is not the same as it was even a year ago. They are 100% profit over patients. Employees are worked to the bone and BURNT OUT. Due to the additional stress since United Health Group bought out Optum and the changes they’ve enacted I’ve seen coworkers lash out at each other due to the stress of being over-worked, and very short staffed to the point that one person is now expected to do the job of two or three and patient care suffers for it. UHG is the Evil Empire and everything that is wrong with our healthcare system in our country. I’d gladly take a pay cut to find a position at a small practice who is truly patient-centered. I never want to work in corporate healthcare again. They are all the same.
