Pros
Co-workers are great. The company does a great job of bringing really good employees onto the team. The locations are very pretty and professional-looking. You do get free or discounted services and products. Health insurance is a good thing, however, you do have to pay in and family benefits you pay 100%. But it's good to get those benefits. Honestly, for someone right out of school, this is a good place to work. If you are seasoned and good.. they will take advantage.
Cons
No tips and no commissions. It's just rude to the estheticians. How else is an esthetician supposed to earn a living? The hourly pay is okay, but not good enough. The estheticians should be able to get a tip for crying out loud. It's so confusing for the clients that are all so used to paying estheticians a tip. The front desk tells the clients at check out that OrangeTwist is medical, so we don't get tipped?!?! Next, you sell, sell, sell all these products to find out you may have sold a ton of product for the company, but because the store you work in didn't sell enough nobody gets a commission. No thanks! Also, how rude to hire a mom and tell her she can be off by 1 on Saturdays to find out.. nope that will be in the future when we can hire more people. Not a good company for people that would like to be respected by the owners. I felt very snubbed there by the executive team who never bothered to get to know me, but they have only my excellent reviews left by the clients I did services for now on their social media. Lesson learned. Never again. I also felt so bad for the manager and RN who were both undervalued for their skills and overworked.
