Pros

I Gained valuable experience in Home Infusion Nursing and working independently in the field. Built strong, meaningful relationships with patients and provided continuity of care over time. Autonomy in managing patient care and scheduling.

Cons

Recruited heavily into a full time role without a plan to sustain it-No effort was made to grow the patient base in my area. My multiple proposals to help expand the patient base were ignored. Minimal to no support from supervisors or management. Never received formal performance reviews, feedback or recognition. Frequently ignored when raising concerns or requesting assistance. Vacation time was nearly impossible to take due to a lack of backup or staffing support, they refused to pay it out at separation. After almost four years, my position was eliminated abruptly and replaced by Per Diem nurses from an acquired company. I felt devalued and discarded despite years of service and outstanding reviews from Providers and patients.

Pros

The team of people I worked with.

Cons

Everything. This company is so toxic. I have PTSD from working there. We were worked to the bone. Upper management doesn't care about problems that are brought forth. When people quit, we are told to absorb their territories. When new ppl are hired, we are tasked with training them and onboarding them. They used to have a nice training program but got rid of it and the training team doesn't do anything but off load their work onto others. We were asked to wear way too many hats. I was working 12 hrs a day and on the weekends but nothing was ever good enough. Constant pressure to work in the field even when it didn't make sense. If there were no pts to see we were told to work from the lobby which was a HIPAA violation as everyone around me could see my patient list on my computer and hear me taking on the phone. There is too much pressure on numbers and zero support or help. No one held accountable for service failures either. Please seriously consider being a CTS. You will lose yourself and your life to the job.
