- guaranteed hours even when clients call out
- prep time if given to prepare for sessions and activities for the day.
- amazing coworkers which create a fantastic work environment.
TBH if it wasn’t for my coworkers who cheer me on I wouldn’t stay.
- few great BCBAs
- mimics a classroom setting
- great clientele only few during the evening that have tough behaviors.
Cons
- increased ratio not one on one unless a kid is intensive
- currently short staffed so you will be back to back some days
- constant changes without the heads up or understanding of what’s changing. You get told once the changes are made but they do not ask for feedback or thoughts prior to the decision.
- barley have HR check ins so you won’t be heard out.
- some BCBAs are hands off while others are hands on and ready to help when needed. Some wait for you to ask for help and struggle and some will immediately step in to help.
- BCBAs will make changes to the learning trees and not announce it so you will have to double check the prompt levels and examples constantly to make sure you are running the trials correctly.
