Pros
The people you work with
Cons
This was the worst organisations I have ever worked for. Senior management creates a culture that feels exclusionary and dismissive toward staff. The environment operates like a little boys club that bully the younger staff with behaviour that is unprofessional and lacks any consideration for employee wellbeing. Staff are undervalued, not respected and treated like trash. Although employees are issued 40-hour contracts, sufficient shifts are not always provided to meet those hours, which keeps resulting in deductions from wages with minimal to no explanation and all they do when questioned is point blame at the staff raising the issue. They do not care about employee safety and work–life balance. Staff are often expected to work very late hours, including situations where female employees have to travel alone for extended periods late at night using public transport to isolated areas to stay in hotels, only to be expected back at work early the following morning. Surgery operations management has absolutely no regard towards staff and communicated with staff in a rude, dismissive and dehumanising way, almost like a secondary school bully. They refuse to cancel surgery lists even if conditions of staff or clinic will make the day not safe for both staff and patients. This place is toxic, unprofessional, messy, biased and greedy.
