Pros
Work scheduling was super flexible around my school schedule. Pay was pretty competitive (better than any on campus job at Rice) and unlimited fancy coffee and snacks. There are legos and huge foam building blocks which give the whole office a super fun/quirky feel. I was given meaningful work during my time as an intern and my supervisor was very helpful.
Cons
There are a lot of student interns and they are encouraged to sit in the same area for the most part. It can get fairly loud in the afternoons in that area which can be distracting. Also, if you're looking for an on-campus job, this isn't actually on campus (Rice) but it is in the village, so it's still manageable with a bike or even a long walk. Only Rice students are interns here, and once your time at Rice ends, so too does the internship.
