Pros

- Some coworkers are nice and supportive. - Work can be relatively easy some days.

Cons

- Owner micromanages everything without understanding the situation. - No laptop provided. - No opportunities for growth or advancement. - Policies and rules are constantly changing, causing confusion. - High turnover with people constantly getting fired. - Asked to do tasks far outside your job role. - No respect for personal time or boundaries. - Low pay with no compensation for extra work. - Mandatory team bonding events are awkward and strange.

Pros

I’ve been working at One Step now for a year and some change now, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about it here! I love our team and the products we develop. I’ve worked at different companies before that developed products for media and entertainment and yeah the work was cool and all, but I didn’t really feel like I was contributing to making people lives better. It’s a great feeling coming into work knowing that the work I do will have a positive impact on people's lives - specifically those working in recovery as well as those going through recovery. As a full stack developer, I love the diversity in the types of projects I get to work on. Some days, I’ll be doing some devops work maintaining or modifying our cluster configuration. Other days, I might be working on our APIs, doing some mobile app development, writing new features for our web app, or writing queries for business analytics. I never feel bored of the work I’m doing and I look forward to coming in and getting to it everyday!

Cons

I don’t really have much to say here - it’s been an amazing experience thus far!

Pros

Some team members were genuinely supportive and willing to help each other grow. I appreciated the chance to learn more about the Account Executive role and develop my sales skills through hands-on training.

Cons

I was told I was being promoted to an AE role and immediately began several hours a day of training on top of my full SDR workload. During the meeting where I was "promoted," I was told I'd receive official paperwork for the new role, but I didn't. When I followed up about the paperwork 3 days later, I was told to just focus on “proving myself.” Two weeks into this extra workload and still with no answers, I asked the CEO directly for a base salary increase, a job title change, or at the very least a timeline for when the promotion would take effect. She contradicted herself several times, used vague language about the job title, laughed at me, and fired me via email 3 hours later at 7pm that night. The company does not provide a computer or any basic support for remote work. I consistently received positive performance feedback throughout my time there. Leadership told me I’d be a great AE, that I’d make so much money, and that the CEO would “take care of me.” This company talks a big game about opportunity, but when you ask to be compensated fairly, you'll be fired.
