Pros

Lots of mission driven employees lower on the totem pole. It seems that the cash-cow isn't drying up so you'll have some job security

Cons

Fails to listen to customer needs. A state of the art flood prediction model went essentially unused by the client because they didn't care for the (not-so) slick UI, they just wanted push notifications as most emergency managers do. So make the shift! Fails to listen to the experts. The data science and engineering teams were loaded with talent, but rather than listen to concerns about scalability, accuracy, and the literal impact on human lives if we got it wrong, they continued to push the idea that we can just throw more money at the problem and get it right. A lot of the strongest employees left due to an erosion of trust, particularly after they acquired Datmo which was clearly just a way to bail out their friends from grad school

Pros

Diverse workplace Remote workstyle is given alot of importance Work life balance is good People are smart and responsible Product is very unique & has potential If you believe in contributing to positive change in the world rather than working in a 9-5 in a soulless product that does more harm to everything that touches it, this company is trying to do good. Many more experienced people have notably mentioned to me that this is one of the best places they worked in, most of the team has more than 2 years experience working here.

Cons

Some urgency from the world to start looking into investing of buying into oneconcern. More funding if possible They aren't like a typical bay area startup with high egos, so people who are more strung up on their career will struggle to be happy here
