There are a LOT of departments. Everything is quite siloed, which takes some getting used to if you are used to having more visibility and cross-functional exposure. I wish there was more visibility with regard to the many applications we use. We don't have access to a lot of applications (I assume licensing costs), but it's time consuming to have to reach out to 5 different people to get an answer, because oftentimes, the person you reach out to first sends you to another person more 'appropriate' to answer.
Unlimited PTO is only for salaried employees.
I personally feel that if you are in a revenue producing role, and you get bonuses, it should be based on a percentage of revenue, and not a percentage of your income. For instance, my first MBO bonus for a quarter was less than $300. Doesn't matter how much revenue you produce, it's all a percentage of your pay split into 4 quarters. I am still grateful to have anything extra, though. It is just a little off-putting to see that you produced $2 million in a quarter and only get <$300 as a bonus, you know? I'm sure they have their reasons, though.
They outsource one of their IT departments to India, and they hardly accomplish any requests. They also contract out a lot of the customer support employees so there are a lot of issues with training as it is just a revolving door of new temporary employees. Customer Support is a very critical function to a business. Having people who are not temps would, in my opinion, be imperative to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
