Pros
Great city, particularly to raise a family, so it is in a great location. Good benefits. Competitive pay for the area and type of work. Employees tend to stay, so not much turnover.
Cons
Typical government employment issues. My particular department struggles with objective performance reviews and leadership, but I believe both of these issues are somewhat unique to my department.
