I've worked in Oh Polly for years now, and I've never know a company that offers so much growth, support and community. Since starting, I was welcomed by hardworking and friendly people - this has never changed over the years. The company offers structure for progression, both individual and as a team - placing clear trust and ownership in projects. There are courses and learning sessions to support you in your role, and regular meetings with your manager to stay aligned in company goals and have that space for communication. Our Director of the department shows strong leadership skills, a clear direction for the department and is always asking for our input - showing how much our feedback is valued. The unwavering support and professionalism is admirable, and she is such a down to earth person. I often hear the team saying how lucky we are, and they're right! We work closely with other departments, ensuring the business goal is met and we all have a part to play in this. We're always told to 'go above and beyond' for the customer, which makes my job really enjoyable and positive, and the department are always thinking of new initiatives and process for that extra smooth CX experience. When I speak to external friends about my place of work, I'm always met with 'oh I LOVE Oh Polly' - which makes me feel really proud to be a part of the brand. There is often fun activities to join, they promote team building exercises and encourage feedback to make the place even better to work for. I've worked in plenty of place prior, and never known such a push for improvement. We're treated to parties for milestones/seasons, treats around festive times, our birthdays off paid and much more. We're able to take time for any medical/health appointments as a priority, and there are endless platforms available for in house support, both informal support and professional that the company covers. Overall, my time at Oh Polly has been incredibly positive. I’ve felt supported through challenges, celebrated in successes, and given every chance to grow. It’s disappointing to see negative reviews online that don’t reflect the experience many of us have. Personally, I’ve found Oh Polly to be an empowering place to build a career, and I’ve genuinely valued my time here. I believe you control your own happiness, and it's a shame people often point the finger instead of looking at themselves.

Cons

If you're not ready to be welcomed in by the best people you'll met, readily hardworking and not afraid to get stuck in - don't waste the companies time applying.

Horrible pay, employees are overworked, bad management. Management is never at work and is always “wfh” or sits in the back eating all day saying their working, or leaves to go shopping for hours, they blame the sales associates for everything that goes wrong in the store and talks down to them and fail to realize it’s because of how they treat them. Management is always talking negatively about employees or to other employees. Overworks their employees and doesn’t allow them to go home until goal is met even if it’s an hour or two later after store closing. No employees last working for the store more than 4 months as they all want to get away from the managers. One of the worst retail jobs I’ve ever had and some of the most laziest management I’ve ever had.
