Pros

Interesting approach to help patients.

Cons

This was the absolute worst job I have ever had (and the first negative review I've ever written). Everything stems from the CEO - unethical, penny pincher, doesn't really care about employees although he tries to put on a facade that he does), benefits are horrible, it is a revolving door of employees, people are fearful and have been told to their faces they are not needed and can be fired at any time, no consistency in messaging, values aren't really what they say they are and goals are constantly changing. The product could be good and could do good things for people if they went about it the right way, but they are not. It is 100% about the number of calls and not the patient care unfortunately. Overall the employees are unhappy, and the ones that are left are looking for new jobs. CEO needs to take what the employees are saying in reviews and start caring about the employees and the way he conducts business (stop being the Jekyll & Hyde type and scaring employees). The few positive reviews that were posted were ones that the CEO "asked" us to write. The CEO himself wrote one as if he were an employee which is just wrong wrong wrong. No CEO should ever write a review as though they are an employee and list it as confidential (we all know it was him who wrote it because when it was first posted it was known by his title and number of years worked - he is the only one who has been with the company for 3 years because he founded it - otherwise all employees for the most part have only been with the company for a year or so). Nothing is more unethical than a CEO writing a review of his own company saying wonderful things and not even listing his title.

Pros

You can work from home sometimes

Cons

- CEO decided to randomly move to Dallas and then asked out of state employee's to move there. - Management is a mess. The company hire's unqualified candidates that do not know how to manage or direct a team effectively. - Department heads are always pointing fingers and not taking responsibility. The blame is always put on their team or certain individuals. - CEO has a short temper and threatens to fire people every day. - No growth/opportunity - You have to fight for your bonuses, even though you sign a contract to get them quarterly. - Account Managers are required to pay for all travel arrangements and are expected to leave at a moments notice and it takes weeks to get reimbursed (thanks to the Finance departments inability to perform their job functions). - You are hired for one job but will be doing everyone else's job because there is a lack of follow through and responsibility. - The pay is poor - Work hours are extremely long. most nights employee's work until 10 pm and are answering emails as early as 7 am. - Practices are constantly canceling their contracts with Oculus because the company is unable to provide the services they promise. - It is now considered a call center (I don't know why) - There are mass hirings and firings. There is an extremely high turnover rate. - The company has issues with care managers writing false call notes and not calling their patients. - Practices are always calling in to complain about billing and how it is always incorrect (incorrect fees, billable patients, etc). Those are just SOME of the issues. It gets worse....
