Awful stay away! - Store Manager Ocean State Job Lot Employee Review

This is truly the worst experience I have had in my 17 years of retail. This is not a great place to work as they so proudly proclaim, as a current employee I can tell you they encourage the corporate employees to wtite reviews on here. This is not a welcoming environment that fosters learning, rather it is a rigid compliance "gotcha" driven company. The working conditions are awful with dirty breakrooms and monitored bathroom breaks. This company is rotten from the owner down, some of the top executives including the owner often resort to crass, crude, unprofessional behavior they are arrogant and often yell and swear at managers on the sales floor. If you raiseca concern you will be swiftly disciplined and likely fired. I would avoid this company at all costs.
