Pros
Work with some brilliant leaders and engineers Developer experience is great in terms of tooling and solutions. You get to work in very challenging problems. Work life balance is good.
Cons
Company is declining: layoffs, yearly restructurings, low share price. Job stability is very questionable. It used to be a great place to work a few years ago. Now it’s likely that one day your job is gone due to a reorg or for saving costs. Many areas work as a feature factory for retailers (e-commerce). Incompetence is tolerated at individual contributor and leadership level. In many areas, software is delivered by contractors, that care mostly about delivery and little about maintenance and architecture. Promotion process is long and hard. No full remote options.
