Pros
I have had a great experience at Obligo. Both Co-founders are fantastic. Smart, ambitious, but most importantly kind people that genuinely want the best for their employees. They promoted me and many others into taking on new responsibilities and challenges and providing them with the support they needed to thrive in their new roles.
Broader leadership team is also great and by and large it's a bunch of really smart, hardworking people that are fun to be around and have hired strong teams that do excellent work.
I'm very pro-remote work generally, but even the in office culture is strong. It's beyond just snacks and music, people genuinely seem to be enjoying themselves in the office, people choose to eat the catered lunch together instead of sitting at their desk looking mopey.
It's also a product that could have a pretty profound impact on society. Helping people with financial flexibility at a time they need it most is always welcome, and it was good to contribute to something that is meant to make people's lives easier.
Cons
There are a few but none that can't be overcome. Planning could be a bit better but that's being worked on and also very tough to do when you're trying to be a nimble company adapting to a changing macro environment.
