Great compensation, especially relative to competitors in the area. Coworkers genuinely care about each other so it seems like we are all part of a team working towards a common goal. Low stress environment and great culture.
Cons
Over the last few years, our benefits package has dwindled. Changes made to our PTO/holidays/sick days/STD has cut into the work/life balance that used to attract and retain employees.
OMNOVA Solutions Response

Thank you for offering your perspective of the organization and for your service to OMNOVA Solutions. We take pride in our culture and are committed to the success of our employees. I am happy to hear of the collaboration and accountability you experience among your coworkers.
We understand the importance of the balance between work and at-home life. The recent changes to our leave policy were designed to give our employees more flexibility with any paid time off. I would suggest connecting with your local HR representative to discuss how we can help you achieve a better balance.
I am pleased to hear you see the potential for growth within OMNOVA. It is an exciting time to be a member of the team and I hope that you continue to voice your opinions to help us achieve greater success.
Sincerely,
Cliff Hardaway
Global Director of Operations
A lot of opportunity to make a ton of money because of the availability of overtime. For the most part, great people to work with. Health benny's pretty good, money pretty good, 401k.
Cons
Management very hard to please. Going thru a lot of changes but your efforts are not appreciated. Old rule of thumb here "My way or the highway". You ask a question or try something different, you are automatically labeled as being negative. Fear in the work place is NOT healthy. Corporate HR visits from time to time but does not interact with the people on the floor. Dragging your lieutenants thru the mud is not a good way to improve their confidence or production. This company always had oppurtunities to move up/promotions but it has changed now. They will use you to do the job but they will not hire you for the job because you do not have a degree. If they are good enough to fill in (sometimes for years), they should be good enough to have the job then.
