Pros
While the majority of my experience was pretty negative, I will say that the benefits (vacation & sick) are really generous. You start off with 80 hours of sick time and after three months, 120 hours of vacation time. The staff was really nice as well.
Cons
Management has no idea how to operate the store other than producing sales. I am very experienced in logistics with a supervisor & managerial background. I applied to OKA in Westport CT for a Stockroom Manager but the ad was misleading. It was actually a Stockroom Lead. I was employed before the store even opened and it was a circus from my first day until my last day. I didn't have any employees under me to utilize. I was responsible for doing the job of at least 3 people by myself. There has been a constant lack of disorganization, planning, communication, preparation, etc. I gave it about three months to see if there would be any positive growth but unfortunately, there was not. The staff there were nice but almost everyone was clueless on how to maintain the store. It was a real disappointing experience. If you apply for the Stockroom Lead, do yourself a favor and find something better.
