Pros

- Most Store Managers are great - Learn new knowledge of various vehicles daily - Great place to network - Most managers will work around a school schedule - Getting promoted is easy, depending on who your manager is

Cons

- Commission structure is terrible. If you sell $15k in a month, you might make $80 extra for your hard work - Lots of inconsistencies involving Store Managers regarding the enforcement of company policies. At one store, anything goes might be okay, at another store you get punished for the slightest mistake. - Very high turnover rate, due to lots of work for little pay. - Corporate seems to think that having technology from 20yrs ago is a good thing and is very cheap when it comes to keeping a store up to par. Every store for example still uses a dot-matrix printer. They jam constantly and break down weekly. Most older stores could use a major overhaul, repair of various areas, or just general remodeling. However when it comes to general maintenance, good luck on getting it done. I have personally been asked to fixed the overhead lights and do plumbing in the bathrooms.

Pros

The catalog system is easy to use and technology wise they are pretty up to date, very simple and convenient

Cons

The hours suck, the pay sucks. The company only cares about profit it’s no different from autozone, they are able to sell parts for less compared to Napa because they pay the employees barely above minimum, they don’t like giving raises no matter how hard your work you have to basically be a store manager or higher to get a good pay. They open more stores to make more profit and keep employees at the bare minimum. It sucks working there I think if your ISS, which is wholesale, you can make decent money with that because they give a bigger bonus from the amount of sales you make plus less responsibility and better hours but thats if a position opens up and you’ll probably be there 4 plus years until you can get that position unless you’re lucky and one opens up in the area.
