Pros
They allow you to bank overtime which you can take later as vacation time, instead of as overtime pay.
Cons
The real problems are within the management team. First there is almost zero effort in the engineering disciplines to train employees. Young workers should stay away as their technical skills will not be developed as well as they would at other EPC firms. There is a complete lack of documented procedures for how the company is supposed to execute a project, thereby making every project outcome different as each project manager leads a project however he/she feels is correct. There is also a distinct lack of accountability within the engineering disciplines, and management has failed to unite the disciplines on a common path for several years. Long story short, it's as if everyone is working without proper leadership or guidance, therefore project quality suffers. Career growth opportunities appear very low compared to Fluor, Jacobs, Mustang, CH2M and D&Z. The cost of benefits employees pay is much higher than 4 other EPC firms in town, and the pay is generally less...however I've heard they tell prospective employees they can make that up with overtime.
