Pros

Nu-Calgon is a family-most of the people have been working for years and love their job. There is so much room to grow and make an impact! Ideas are warmly welcomed and considered.

Cons

You have to know going into it that it isn't the most exciting of businesses... the HVAC industry is at times dull to market. However, I was very happy with my time there and learned a lot!

Pros

Work-life balance Bonus, Retirement benefits,

Cons

In my experience, the marketing team lacked long-term planning and clear strategic direction. Many initiatives felt reactive rather than guided by a consistent vision. The work environment felt toxic, and I observed behavior that made it difficult for women to feel respected and supported. Concerns did not seem to be addressed effectively. Decisions were often made without strong supporting data or clear performance insights, which led to frequent shifts in priorities and unfinished projects. The actual day-to-day responsibilities did not align well with the expectations of a marketing role. A significant amount of time was spent creating basic print materials with limited strategic value. There was little to no flexibility for remote work, and the culture placed a heavy emphasis on physical presence and appearance over productivity. New products and growth initiatives often seemed to move forward without sufficient research, market validation, or clear business rationale. Overall, this was not an environment where I felt strategic marketing, professional respect, or thoughtful leadership were valued.
