Pros

Neat and modern office. Free food on Fridays (usually hot dogs).

Cons

Non-competitive compensation for the industry standards in the area for the hours you put in. There is very little work-life balance. Extremely cliquish, high school company culture especially among the Account Managers and Onsite Engineers/Admins. There is a lot of favoritism from the top. Ntiva does not set people up with the resources needed to be successful. They constantly operate on shortage and expect miracles. The performance of technical staff is based on how much they like who they're working with and the Account Manager they're working for. It's pretty much a 'fit in or be fired' environment. You either 100% buy into the company culture and mesh with your co-workers or you disappear. So-so benefits that don't kick in on date of hire. Completely out-of-touch CEO and Management that fosters toxic business relationships and belligerent, abusive customers. Would much rather sweep poor processes under the rug rather than fix. This is a company that just cannot seem to "make it out of second gear" as another review very accurately put it. This is due to all of the above. You can't really call Ntiva a start-up at this point. Ntiva has been around for a decade. At this point it's just a failure to launch. As you'd expect, all of this makes it very difficult for Ntiva to hire, keep good people that would rather be great at their job, and get things done than be your best friend. The CEO has way too large of a presence in everyday matters because the CEO occupies at least 3 positions within the company. There are customers that have ties to the CEO directly whether they be personal or business. So you can also expect a lot of conflicts of interests. Oh, and 20 e-mails/calls over the weekend and at night from virtually anyone though not agreeing to be an on-call employee. Ntiva has no sense of boundaries or work-life balance. Also they will not tell you about all the perks up front. Such as phone reimbursement as I was taking calls on my personal phone. In short, don't believe all the "Best Place To Work" hype.

Thanks for your feedback, we’re sorry you didn’t have a successful experience here. Ntiva works very hard to create a positive experience where team members work well together in a friendly environment to best serve our clients. So, indeed we do expect that our employees will “fit in” by treating each other with respect in interpersonal communications. While we disagree on the high school thing, it’s absolutely true that anyone who doesn’t buy in to this culture and play nicely with others won’t last long here. With that said, we do make every effort to identify negative communication styles and coach/train our employees when they’re not meeting those standards. Not everyone will respond positively to these efforts, and that’s ok. Ntiva’s not for everyone; we have a high standard for our employees and that won’t change. Account Managers in any field will have the occasional interaction with a dissatisfied client, and those interactions can be difficult. It comes with the territory of being an Account Manager, anywhere you work. We expect our team, especially Account Managers, to diplomatically work with all of our clients to resolve their issues and deliver world-class customer service. Again, that’s a high bar and it’s not for everyone. It’s always tough to find and hire great people, but keeping them hasn’t been an issue. At our holiday party this weekend (pictures on our Facebook page!), we celebrated several employees who have hit the 5-year mark and one who had his 10-year anniversary this year. Not bad for a company that’s been around just over 10 years! You mention our “Best Places to Work” awards for the past 10 consecutive years. We’re pretty proud of those. They’re awarded based on anonymous employee feedback, and most folks seem pretty darn happy to work here. For more info, check out the most recent Washingtonian Magazine: “Best Places to Work: 2015.” We’re in there. We think it’s a great place to work, and our employees tend to think so too. We’re sorry you didn’t, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

100% Remote Good work life balance - time off is never an issue

Cons

No raises the past year, bonuses were removed, Upper levels refuse to acknowledge the insane influx of clients and lack of technicians to handle the load. Its self evident that a bad business purchase crippled the company and they're doing everything they can to get out of debt. The problem is that the cost of living continues to go up and people are left to suffer being promised, "maybe next year". Maybe next year doesn't pay bills or help with the awful health insurance they decided to link us up to this year. People are burning out left and right. They are being pushed to do the work of 4 and 5 people. CEO turned around in a townhall and talked about how he started this company from nothing and had to do all the jobs and we should just buckle down. I have no issue helping out but being asked to do the jobs of another department and or people ABOVE myself for the past year is pushing me out the door. The talented techs are recognizing this and its going to be a battle to keep them. This ship is sinking.
