Pros
Pay is not bad if youre desperate for work.
Cons
Training is dreadfully boring. Im not exagerating when I say one of the people in my training class fell asleep and was let go on her second day. I was hired through Aerotek, lasted almost 2 months before I was terminated. I begged my Aerotek recruiter to find me a new job as I felt the job was represented to me one way but was very different once I started working. The place is a very poorly managed call center. Over half the calls are problems that could very easily be solved with a proper phone menu or if the company just made more efficient policies. Your typical day will be people calling back telling you they missed a call from "this number" and the message left is typically very vague and usually just stating its regarding their medication. The issue is that the same voicemail is left for notifying them an RX was recieved by the dr, the rx is being filled, the rx was shipped, the rx was too soon to fill, the insurance is not covering the medication. Most people waiting for their rx to be filled assume the notification is just telling them its on its way but sometimes theres a problem preventing us from sending it. Then the customer calls back a week later fuming as to why they havent recieved their rx. We tell them there was a problem and we called and left a message. Then it's back and forth about why we couldnt leave a message explaining what the problem was. We cite Hippa policy BS. Customer is pissed and just wasted 10 minutes of time that could have been better utilized. Rinse and repeat for 8 hours and then go home to do it all over again the next day. Beige everywhere. Walls are beige, cubicles are beige, ceiling is beige. All beige everything. No windows. No plants. I've seen prison's on TV that looked livelier than this place. You'll find that the people that have been here for a while are very weird.
