Pros
It is nice to have total autonomy over your schedule and choosing your own specialties. Pay per appointment is decent. You are able to get credentialed with many insurance companies. There are opportunities to be reimbursed for licenses and liability insurance.
Cons
Shortly after I started, the company completely shifted its values and clinical philosophy without notifying employees. They have now leaned in hard to weight loss advertising, and many of their "partnerships" and marketing tactics are very cringy. I worry about the ads that my clients with ED/disordered eating are seeing from this company. Other significant changes, such as the pay structure, have been implemented with very little notice. It is difficult to get enough clients unless you are working in intentional weight loss. Income is inconsistent with a lack of new clients and cancellations. Working here can be a great tool for seeing your ideal clients with insurance, but you're on your own.
