Pros
Great co-workers, previously fairly good record on matters of diversity and inclusion.
Cons
Current and prospective employees should be aware that Nordic was recently acquired by Accrete Health Partners, which was created by the large Catholic health system Bon Secours Mercy Health. This organization's patient care related decisions are guided by the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. These directives specifically prohibit abortion and most forms of contraception. If you do not want to contribute to the mission of this organization because of your personal beliefs around reproductive health, I would warn strongly against working for Nordic. They will not publicly come out in favor of these directives and the Accrete company was likely created to specifically distance these acquisitions from these Catholic directives. However, you should be aware that If you are working for Accrete or one of the acquisitions, you are contributing to this mission and to these directives. Here's a few things that the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services prohibit or restrict: Abortion for any reason at any stage (including cases of rape, incest, and the LEAST invasive interventions for ectopic pregnancy) Gender Affirming Healthcare. All birth control methods including IUDs and oral emergency contraception pills (like plan B). Infertility treatments like IVF (in vitro fertilization). Sterilization including vasectomies and tubal ligation. Be aware and choose where you want to work with this in mind.
