If you need a job....it is a job... but that’s about it.
What was once a standout in Epic consulting has lost much of its luster and is now a shadow of what it used to be. It’s disappointing, especially because there are still pockets of highly talented individuals doing excellent work. Unfortunately, they’re often forced to operate alongside those who lack competency.
Leadership, from the executive level down, feels directionless and largely unresponsive to the insights of seasoned professionals. Cliques are widespread across the organization, and the half-hearted attempts at improvement have had little impact. If you’re in a position where you simply need a paycheck, it may be worth considering—but go in with realistic expectations. Don’t expect meaningful recognition for your efforts or clear opportunities for advancement. Above all, keep your resume up to date, as frequent reorganizations are common.
