Pros
German work laws as well as conditions achieved through union negotiations result in an extremely flexible work environment, both strictly limiting overtime as well as allowing the accumulation of hours for combining with vacation days, allowing frequent and long vacations.
Cons
It is a large company whose employee actions are mostly driven by short sighted provincialism with regard to protecting ones own job/pet project/influence, etc. Essential business decisions remain unmade over several years, while one "team" after another is tasked with recommending the best decisions, the recommendations then dutifully ignored.
