Pros
Customers love our products, and there are very few complaints or troubles with them. I am enjoying this job, since I am able to learn from the customers and build good relationships. There is a big potential for this company to grow larger not only nationwide but also worldwide. The company will not hire executives from outside. The company choose employees who started from the beginning such as sales representative. You just need to be creative with food and have a passion to sell our products.
Cons
The company is dominantly ran by Japanese people and there are many things we are not in the same level with our customers. The worst thing is that the company is very slow to catch market trends, and the people will not move until the upper management understands and get approvals from Japan HQ. There is too many documents to create in order to get an approval such as to provide samples to customers, to attend food shows, and even to maintain the office properties. Sales rep's job in this company does not mean they only SELL. They are required to negotiate with other departments to get what customer requests. CEO and many managers cannot speak English and there are problems between American employees and Japanese employees.
