Pros

Easy to get in the recruitment industry

Cons

A poor working environment. Aggressive pressure to work late at night as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. There is no support from the bosses. They don't help you to improve and the only advice they will give you is to talk to more people, you are on your own, forget about learning. There is a lot of tension in the atmosphere and you will hear comments towards other employees disrespecting and making fun of them. The basic salary is ridiculous. They take advantage of your inexperience. They want employees to sacrifice their time and effort so that they can earn the profit. They don't care about you. They only care about how much money you can make them. That is, while you're giving it your all, they're going to be lobbying you while they sit in their chair booking their next holiday. You won't see them on the phone for more than an hour a day, their culture is, we have employees to work for us and make us money, we don't have to work. They don't lead by example. There are many companies in the industry that will offer you better training and help you improve, and above all that will go out of their way to teach you by leading by example. All the employees eventually leave, and there is no one with more than one year's experience because they all run away from the bosses' lack of work ethic. You have better alternatives in the industry that offer better opportunities.

This is an malicious review created by an employee who was dismissed for getting caught setting up a side company and attempting to do deals behind Nicholas Bernard Ltd back. 3 bad reviews on Nicholas Bernard all posted on 1st July (when the employee was dismissed in April 2021) says it all. Nicholas Bernard Ltd has a great management team of proven billers with more than 16 years recruitment experience. Although we promote working hard, and all have access to the system from home, none of our employees worked on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pros

If you’re looking to either start or develop your career in recruitment and are offered to work with these guys, seriously, don’t hesitate to grab the opportunity with both hands. From the get-go, the recruitment and onboarding process with Lance is so smooth. He has such flair for talent acquisition, you’d be hard-pressed to find another who is this good! He has been there for me every step of the way and never takes his foot off the gas. The directors Don and Rich have such an insane wealth of knowledge in their field, offer great training and are genuinely lovely people to be around. I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learnt from them during my time there. Speaking of lovely people, you’d find it difficult to come across a company with a culture of outgoing, friendly co-workers. From the second I walked in, I felt like I had already been friends for years. Each and every one of them have made my experience at NB one that I’ll remember always. *Pros* - Uncapped commission (honestly, there is some serious money to be made). - Clear cut commission structure and clear routes to progression are outlined. There are no blurred lines to this that you may find in other companies. - Amazing and thorough training offered - in my case anyway - by Don (thank you!) to make you an expert in SAP recruitment. - It may sound cliche, but they have a work hard, play hard mentality. Do the work, earn your commission, and you’ll be recognised for your achievements and rewarded. - Mentioned before, but a bubbly, lively and friendly group of colleagues makes it. I sincerely wish everyone there the best. You guys are going places!

Cons

Not necessarily cons, but I’d say long hours and 5 days per week in the office. Then again, it’s recruitment… How else would you learn unless you’re in the office with the team each day?
