Lots of travel but it’s fun

My internship at Next Step Ministries was a transformative experience. The hands-on work in ministry organizations provided practical skills, and the supportive community fostered a sense of purpose in making a positive impact on the community. Networking opportunities within the religious community opened doors for future career prospects. As a field engineer, I developed leadership, communication, teamwork, and event planning skills, contributing not only to the organization but also to my personal growth. Grateful for the rewarding experience and lasting impact.

While my experience at Next Step Ministries was largely positive, there were some challenges encountered during my time there. One notable aspect was the emotional strain that comes with engaging in ministry work, particularly when dealing with individuals facing difficult circumstances. Additionally, the organization operated on a limited budget, which at times posed challenges in executing projects due to resource constraints. Lastly, the pressure associated with fundraising goals was another aspect that added stress to the overall experience. Despite these challenges, the rewarding nature of the work and the positive impact on the community made the journey worthwhile.
