Pros
- Decent location just outside of downtown Charlotte.
- Relaxed/modern workplace and atmosphere.
- Catered lunches on Fridays.
- Typical office hours.
Cons
- Management doesn't lead you; they manage you.
- Manage looks out for themselves first and then for you.
- Company benefits exist, but who can afford them (as a part-time $10/hr wage) other than management and the company owner?
- No 401k matching.
- Prospective employees: don't expect a competitive salary or raise after your initial offer. If you do get a raise, be sure to realize that your initial offer was too low.
- If you want to work in the help-desk, beware that it's a sweat-shop and the employee turnover rate is exceptionally high. You cannot get promoted out of that position or make a lateral move. Management will work you out of the company first.
- If you're going to work in IT, beware of the long-standing manager. Everyone who has worked under him has left or is miserable. He's a management favorite (as a manager himself), so you will never make a change worth making or have any input into that department.
- If you want to work in AppDev, you will be severely underpaid, overworked, and underappreciated. AppDev is the black-sheep department of the company. The employees themselves are good people, but the management abuses them.
