Pros
- The grunts who do practically all of the work are amazing people. - There IS some opportunity for (horizontal) movement if you play your cards right and find the right opportunity. - Health benefits are alright. - Interesting experience...
Cons
- Management who do all the talk and none of the work are the worst people ever - Below market rate pay - Extremely high turnover. Let's say that more people voluntarily leave at a pace quicker than they can hire. Then you're left with a lot of incompetent people who cannot be fired because no one else can fill the job. - People are so jaded that nothing can be done to fix it. Everyone is looking to leave. - It's not about money. It's about the growing amount of work and no hiring is done to alleviate that. - Borderline violation of human rights - 2% merit increase is nothing; don't preach it like we should be grateful. It's barely over the annual inflation rate. - Hire MORE people. Better do it soon or else you will have people who can't stomach it anymore walking out in the middle of the busiest season of the year (Q4). - HR is only used for asking about PTO-related questions.
