This is a scam. I really thought it wasn’t and fell for everything they were telling me. The same marketing/sales systems they teach you, they actively use on you. There is a lot of implication and no one wants to just straight up tell you that in your first week you will be paid $15/hr for the 4 office hours you work. That comes out to 60 dollars and then 100% sales commission which if you don’t sell then they will pay you exactly minimum wage which isnt anywhere near the $15/hr they imply they pay people. And if you work what they are wanting you to work then you are paid under minimum wage for your time. But you are an exempt employee therefore hours don’t really matter. They will not tell you straight up you are an exempt employee you just have to read the fine print. I worked between 50-60 hours my first week because the saying in the office is”if your on time, your late. And if your early, your on time.” They’re is an expectation for you to put in way more hours then originally implied. You won’t be punished per say, however you also won’t make any money because you won’t advance as fast, so they’re is an expectation that you come in and stay late and then get paid very low commission per sale on top of the sales themselves being predatory. In order for you to be promoted you have to get other people promoted, so everyone around has motive to keep you there and make implications that don’t directly answer any of your questions. The “great” environment is that way because if you have doubts, they are not welcome to be voiced with your peers because they know everyone will leave. my first day they talked about turn over being good and that the more turnover they have, the better is actually is, this is another tactic to disarm you and make it seem like they vet people heavily when they simply don’t, as long as your selling your hired. They heavily address the fact that it is not a scam because they are operation within the legal spectrum because you signed paperwork that allows them to work you like a dog and not pay you horribly. While they riddle their own pitch to you with implications that make you feel as though you’ll be take care of until you get a check in the mail.
