I have worked in behavioral health in Arizona for over 23 years and in Human Resources (within behavioral health) for over 11 years of that time. New Freedom is by far the best company that I have ever worked for! People often think that the grass is greener on the other side, but it isn't. That's why they often come back to New Freedom. New Freedom absolutely takes care of their employees and pours into their growth and development. Over the past four years, we have worked so hard to build some infrastructure and ensure that New Freedom is a preferred employer. Not everyone appreciates structure but it's necessary and the structure we have at New Freedom isn't rigid - it's to help ensure that our members get the best care and that our employees can do their best work and feel proud and accomplished at the end of the day. We have amazing benefits that are more affordable than I have ever had working in this field. Our employees and leaders are friendly and welcoming. Our senior and executive leadership are the most down-to-earth and accessible than other companies - we have an open-door policy, and our executives are fully present and supportive. We compensate our employees competitively and are continually looking for ways to make it the best environment possible - we can work hard and also have fun! Behavioral health can be heavy work sometimes, so it's important that we offset that by providing generous time off, competitive compensation, and a culture of accountability, ongoing support, and excellence. There is so much flexibility here and I feel passionate about the work that we do - I get to come to work and do my best work every day, and I know that my work is truly seen and appreciated! It doesn't get better than this, honestly. We still have areas and things to work on, as with any company/employer, but we continue to make positive strides, and I am fully committed to helping the company achieve all that they set out to do. We are always looking for highly accountable, skilled individuals to come join our team and help us continue to make New Freedom the best that it can be.

Cons

Behavioral health/direct client care can be heavy work sometimes, so it's important for employees to practice good self-care to avoid compassion fatigue, etc.

Absolutely no regard for Individual contributors. Set up for failure from day 0 and put on a performance plan with no guidance or understanding of the position.
