Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.
As a remote engineer, you likely worked with us close to 18 months ago or prior. Our remote engineering team has not experienced turnover in quite some time. As a matter of fact, our employee retention rate for that team has been 100% for the last 18 months, even as we've grown close to 30%. The company overall has a retention rate of 92% plus over the same time period.
While I can't dismiss the personal experiences that anyone says they've had, I can say that your depiction of middle management hiding from clients is not one that I've seen. While managers may ask employees to go outside their comfort zone from time to time (fostering growth opportunities) they are also more than willing to jump in and take over if that employee needs the coaching or help. I'm sorry if that was not your experience, and I wish you had shared that concern at the time. We would have taken it very seriously.
Our employees voted us one of the best places to work in an anonymous survey conducted by Inc. Magazine in 2021. I'm extremely proud of our entire team and all that we've accomplished, but we are NOT perfect and you won't find anyone here claiming that we are. We face many challenges that growing companies face, but we seek out feedback (a lot!) and we take a pragmatic approach to continuous improvement. We have a lot to do, still, to make NENS the best company it can be. That's a constant challenge, and one that we welcome and embrace.
Our industry is also a very difficult one. Technology is always changing, and we have to be on our feet constantly to adapt to those changes. That kind of pace is not for everyone, but for those who are fanatical about customer service, who thrive in high-change environments, and who like the challenges technology presents, I don't know of a better technology services company to grow with.
