Pros

Benefits are just ok. Co-workers were friendly and got along just well. Some work life balance

Cons

Don't treat employees with dignity or respect. Give them 2 week notice and they let you go early so they can save a dollar, affected my 401k Can't trust CEO, President, or VP's they have in place. No open door policy No HR department No policies everything is left up to ineffective management Had 9 managers during my tenure. Very hostile work environment, wouldn't work here again if they doubled my pay, it's not worth it.

Pros

The reason why I decided to make the move to NetStandard: I asked some of the current employees the simple question - Are you happy here at NetStandard? The employees I asked said nothing but great things about the CEO & President, the Senior Leadership team and fellow coworkers. The honesty I received was more than enough to make the switch to NetStandard.

Cons

This is a competitive market - but the owners want to win more than the other companies that are not from KC

As you know, integrity is one of our core values, so it's great to hear that reflected in what you heard from coworkers. Recruiting good people is almost as competitive as being an IT services provider, so I appreciate your feedback and your honest review. - js

Pros

Netstandard offers decent benefits. Pretty okay health coverage for its size. Okay work-life balance. Easy to take PTO. The retirement plan fully vests the company match after three years. Parking was free for the office unlike other Kansas City offices. Scheduled remote work days were allowed. Manager was accommodating with adjusted start times for school drop-offs.

Cons

The company consistently loses younger help desk staff and engineers due to a lack of proper training and system documentation, often throwing new hires in without support. Management openly criticizes employees’ personal lives and skill levels out loud, in the office. Client documentation is minimal to nonexistent, as employees fear losing their jobs. Heavy-ish work load depending on how many clients. The fractional HR function is largely ineffective and offers little support. If you take PTO while on-call, there is a real risk that your manager will fail to inform the help desk and they'll constantly call you. As staff leave and open positions remain unfilled, on-call rotations become MUCH more frequent. Performance reviews appear to be performative and passive aggressive. You will get very little value from these if your manager decides to actually do them. Volatile office politics contribute to an unstable and stressful work environment.
