Pros

Home basing is a plus.

Cons

There was a time when I was extremely positive and optimistic about flying for NetJets. How rapidly things have deteriorated... Very long duty days, short overnights providing only minimal recovery-time, the potential to be disciplined or terminated over the use of contractually-guaranteed sick days or fatigue calls, the potential to be disciplined or terminated for service errors directly related to other departments "dropping the ball" and failing to notice before a customer complains, and just the never-ending "grind" of having every decision second-guessed, every request challenged or ignored, and spending every duty-day tracking-down the ways I've been set-up to fail. All of this for nearly half of what my peers with similar flight time and experience at other companies are earning who are simply paid to fly and never have to deal with the infinite number of "non-flying" duties I'm responsible for. There are much better opportunities elsewhere. I can't in good conscience recommend this job to anyone.

Pros

They pay 100% of your premiums for benefits. This is how they retain a lot of employees because the base knows that they can get paid better salary elsewhere, but not a lot of places at this size will offer that. As long as the richest of the rich people want to fly private, this business is going nowhere so there's a lot of job stability for people who keep their head down and only offer up ideas their senior leaders can present as their own.

Cons

Office politics, drama, "traditional" ways of thinking (enjoy those 2 days at home while you can!) - all this can be your's for a mid (if you're lucky) to low end of the market range salary & you'll need to work as hard as you can for a Meets Expectations and a 3% increase (that by the way, you should be honored to receive). It was sad to see that there were great people in these walls at all levels, but many of the Director/VP level individuals who have convinced themselves they are peers to the clients that NetJets serves because they get an opportunity to shake their hands once a quarter was a major disappointment. It was especially disappointing to see how women in leadership capacities were condescending about other women who were trying to advance their careers and stand up for themselves in a male-dominated industry.
