Pros
Backed by seemingly unlimited venture capital. New and exciting acquisitions at least every other quarter. Opportunities to become adequately trained in many basic business tools (Salesforce, JIRA, Concur, etc.). Work from home/remote workforce is encouraged, to save on operational costs. Direct coworkers are patient and kind. Generous PTO as long as you use it within the calendar year.
Cons
No defined path to advancement thanks to the pillar/silo structure and upheaval. Poor to no communication between pillars and departments. Predictable yearly to twice-yearly layoffs. The company-wide plan for the future changes with alarming regularity, so stability is hard to come by. Institutional knowledge is not valued at any level, and has largely been discarded. Bottom line is key, so benefits aren't terribly competitive, and seem to have the potential to get worse.
