Pros

401K and travel bonus. Easy to sell.

Cons

The overall morale and culture has been on the decline this past year and shows little sign of improving. I’ve tried going to HR to resolve these issues but it seems like the only way to get attention is by posting on Glassdoor or other mediums. I’m not a fan of airing dirty laundry publicly, but things need to change around here. I think there are really good people here overall, but what’s lacking is senior leadership that has the right experience to get us to the next level. Work used to be so much more fun and I miss when communication lines were much more open at all levels. I thought it was isolated just to my department. Then, when I started asking around I found it to be a common story among colleagues. It’s crazy to me that you hire a person to be in charge of your culture that has no prior HR experience. When her own direct reports question her ability to get the job done, that’s alarming. My fear is that we will become the butt of jokes in the media with terrible culture. Because people are afraid to call each other out on stuff and hold people accountable. I don’t think promoting enablers or “yes” people is the best way to improve the company. Because many of us are sitting on valuable equity it makes it hard to leave, but don’t mistake that for us being happy. It’s becoming patronizing to constantly be told “I hear you” “growing pains” “hang in there.” It’s almost comical when you hear our HR folks go on podcasts and webinars to tell other people how to improve their companies culture. Maybe work on your own companies rapidly declining one first? If you are looking at working here, I do think there is still potential benefits to doing so. However, I can’t recommend it with the current leadership and structure in place.

Pros

Fast paced, plenty of room and opportunity to grow. Very good starting pay and ability to earn bonuses. Many remote work options. Strong culture and supportive leadership, with fun company events (like the Christmas party) that help people feel connected, even for the many remote employees.

Cons

The pre‑hire assessment is very strict and pass/fail. I’ve referred strong, experienced candidates who I know are good workers, but they did not pass the test and were not given the opportunity to move forward. It feels like the process may screen out some high‑potential talent who could otherwise thrive here.
