Pros
Challenging and interesting work. Each assignment is something new. Opportunity to travel and potential to make a difference. Excellent pay and benefits. As older people retire, more opportunities to advance.
Cons
This agency needs a major overhaul of its top management structure, attitudes, and organizational processes. Too many senior managers and processes that don't add value to the final product. Ridiculous micromanagement and distrust by senior managers can make it a very unpleasant place to work at time. Morale is generally low as auditors are not always respected as professionals; work can be tedious at times due to insane levels of quality control review. Outstanding work often not rewarded or even acknowledged. Favoritism.
