Pros

Privately held company, owned by the Navajo Nation and seeks to benefit the tribe and those that work for them. While the pay scale is not competitive with others in the same are and industry, The company treats people like they are people. Higher wages due to high hazard industry. Extensive training - fully trained before solitary operation. Dupont Work Schedule- 28 day rotation with 14 work days scheduled and 14 days off (Varies by crew).

Cons

Long work hours (12 hours plus unpaid lunch). Rural location translates to long commute - 30 to 180 minutes depending on your place of residence Rough road conditions - typical for the industry. Competitive coworkers, somewhat cliquish Advancement is performance based and based on equipment run and not seniority.

Pros

The job is easy and not physically demanding. People are nice and there is not any drama in engineering. They make it fun and try to reward hard work with food and humor. The company will invest in your training and give you good equipment and your own office. Engineers work 4 days a week for 10 hour day shifts. We get one offsite day a week and it can be moved around on occasion. If work runs late we can take it home and do not have to stay late at the office.

Cons

The drive is early (4-5 am) and long (1:15 hrs), but we are given a company van, free gas, and a carpool to switch off drivers.
