Pros

Coworkers are friendly. Audit team is awesome! The HR team was very helpful and considerate and Promoted innovation. Coworkers and T&D officer are very knowledgeable about E&S Insurance.

Cons

From the get go, I felt under appreciated. During my interview, I was expecting my comp to be on the lower end of the offer posted, but my future boss told me I was too inexperienced (even though I have a Masters and multiple years of ID) and offered me $8,000 lower than the post (but I took it because I was desperate). My responsibilities did not match my job description at all. While I was told I’d be designing courses, I was mainly rewriting instructor led courses for wbts. This is the job of an edesigner, not an ID. The Training and Development management was very passive aggressive when it came to disagreement. When we wouldn’t agree on information, management would change my work, but never address it. Additionally, lack of respect showed up various times. There was a huge lack of knowledge within training, and the department seemed to have a small budget, especially for ongoing development. When we launched a huge project, very little recognition was given. Their training team was very small and management added difficult goals to deadlines even if the first deadline was impossible. There was some hostility between the T&D team and the Marketing team (again, due to management’s passive behavior).

Pros

No cons other than outdated technology and systems

Cons

Good company, training was good and consistent. Covered parking is a plus, they have many events that get you to engage and meet coworkers. Pay is good for the job title.
