Pros
Casual dress code.
Some managers were nice.
Cons
Micromanaging: I have never experienced micromanaging to such an extreme degree. Just an example of a few things I was scolded for: having my space heater on "too long" in the winter; going to the bathroom at 4:57 p.m. on a Friday; my voice not having the exact, preferred inflection; asking for clarification about an assignment, as "it was already explained to me." Like I said, those are just a few examples.
No flexibility: Was always made to feel uncomfortable if I was sick or had a doctor's appointment.
Low morale: Going in to work every day was painful. Customer service management was very unforgiving of mistakes and would often reprimand employees in front of their co-workers. Asking the same question more than once is extremely frowned upon, and employees are made to feel incompetent if they try to do so.
Low pay: I had many responsibilities and seemed to be expected to make no mistakes, all while making $12 an hour.
Customer service management seemed to enjoy embarrassing and patronizing their employees. There was no forgiveness for mistakes (and I was only there for a few months). I would discourage anyone from accepting a job in customer service for this company (or any position, for that matter). I dreaded work every day and was in a constant state of anxiety all through the work day. No job is worth it - especially not this one.
