Pros

Pretty good PTO to start

Cons

Since Covid and the shift to WFH, the entire NILC department has been turned into Big Brother. Every single second of your time is micromanaged and watched like a hawk. You have 4 hours to work on your own claims, and 4 hours where you take inbound calls on other peoples claims. It has essentially become a call center. Nobody in the department enjoys the new format and so people have been dropping like flies. This leaves the workload even heavier for those of us still around. Customers are waiting on the phones for 1+ hours at a time and are understandingly frustrated with the new system. Rather than fix the broken system, they just demand more time from us on the phones. It’s not at all the same job as when I started 2 year ago and it’s only getting worse. The entire organization is going downhill and it’s become a stressful place to work for not enough money.

Pros

-For the most part, the people you work with are good people. Made real lifelong friends and mentors. -As with all large companies, there are plenty of opportunities to advance and/or move around if something isn't a good fit. -One of the rare places still offering a pention

Cons

-Office politics promote plenty of people who don't deserve it and the teams happiness is highly dependent upon who you end up reporting to -WAY too much false urgency created by bad leaders -Big company means slow moving in all the stuff you want to go fast. Often times too many cooks in the kitchen
