Pros
-Holidays -PTO -some staff can be trained well -Got 3% raise every year. Doc's paid average....other staff not paid well enough for the work they are expected to do.
Cons
-EVERY Saturday...no work/life balance -Every day until 6pm last patient..no negotiations -Very poor upper management..only care about Money. Not at all about their staff, doctors, or patients..even though they will say they do. -Many offices are not staffed properly for the amount of patients expected to be seen on a daily basis. Very poor "training" done by most GM's. Office staff does not know and can get by knowing very little optics..not good for our patients at all. No training on Smart booking and if someone comes in late, they take the patient. No regard for Doctor's time and schedule. -Did not feel respected as a doctor at all. Someone else makes all scheduling decisions for me. They say upon hire, you can practice to your comfort level..but NO time is given for anything more than quick refraction and slit lamp. Barley enough time to dilate patients who need it (diabetic, older, higher Rx) -Staff does not respect doctors as they should. Just adding people to overflow appointment book, without asking.
