Pros
Work from home is great Decent benefits and PTO Once in a while you actually feel like you're helping the insured. 6 free mental health sessions a year. Really wish they would make it 12. Yes I utilized it!
Cons
Lots of micromanaging. They took away matching donations for charitable donations which was disappointing. Can be hard to take PTO, you're made to feel guilty and you're slammed with new losses as soon as you get back. Extremely busy, short staffed Burn out rate is very high. Metrics are unobtainable. Call volume is high, and we have to take all calls for any claim and work whatever the issue is. There is an "expectation" to work beyond your normal time including weekends to just try to keep up. Majority of the business is non-standard. Bare bones policies written and high risk insureds.
