Pros

40% staff discount on products. Most of the staff members are hard-working and genuine people.

Cons

Sexual harrassment by Directors - grossly inappropriate sexual comments on a daily basis. TIME'S UP! Company is going bankrupt so about half of all head office staff have been fired or faced 'constructive termination'. Absolutely no room for professional advancement if you are 'lucky' enough to keep your job. Screaming at staff members publicly for their 'failures' when the company's expectations are unrealistic or downright impossible. #nobullying is a message they love to spread on social media, along with female empowerment - Directors certainly don't practise what they preach! Unprofessional conduct - confidential matters about staff members are regularly discussed in an open office for all to hear. Yet the Directors claim that they view their staff as family...

Thankyou for the very specific feedback. Your Frankness is breathtaking. Taking your feedback at face value, I'm deeply disappointed that you feel so let down by our employment relationship. Your assertions are not accurate or factual at all though. IN RESPONSE : Not sure Why so many hard-working and genuine people would be still drawn to work for the business if the environment was as harmful and toxic as you claim it is. What you also describe is Not Sexual Harrassment, but a liberal and fluid, free thinking, free speaking culture. Its always been respectful and if lines hypothetically would ever get mistakenly overstepped, responsibility would be more than forthcoming. With great freedom comes enormous responsibility. The company, no different to its retail peers however may be operating in lean times given the treacherous retail conditions that pervade the Australian economy. It's only prudent to seek cost-cuts for the benefit of the long term health of the business. It is NOT even near bankrupt however and is in fact on an enviable trajectory. Such an accusation of insolvency is again highly illegal if one is not in a position to know all the facts. Also, No such terminations you are alleging to have taken place, all exits have been treated as legitimate rationalisations and handled with world-class professionalism. Screaming, bullying.... I have no idea what you are referring to here. We do view staff as family and hence practise a liberal and personal culture, one that's fun and has exceptional engagement and retention in the vicinity of decades. ALL Hard working, genuine people as you say. We would not wish for anybody to be so uncomfortable in their skin around us so perhaps the advice to pack up is... misdirected. Your unsubstantiable and unfounded allegations here is what is illegal and unethical. Therefore, i urge you to cease and desist.

Pros

I can't think of too many good reasons if you have experience with other prestige lines in the Beauty Industry. But if you get in good with upper management, they MIGHT promote you after a year or so. But I've watched several others that have been with the company for a while get the opportunity to take up more responsibility and not.get paid for it.

Cons

Like most other lines, there's lots of politics, which is kind of expected. They expect a lot of you, and don't want to pay you or treat you with respect. Majority of management is very judgemental, childish and uneducated. Makes it hard to work for someone that treats you like a child, is unqualified for their position and doesn't respect you as a human being. I've watched managers talk about employees, only dictate what needs to be done, but do nothing themselves and also snap a several employees in public (including swearing, belittling and pointing).

THANKYOU... What a review! I earnestly hope you feel alot better now . In response to your criticism: Promotion happens as a consequence of superior performance and is not to be taken for granted. Not sure that mastery can be achieved under a year. When you do get given extra responsibility, one often needs to learn to earn in order to climb the ladder of success. I guess what is managing to one person can be perceived as politics to another... The poor behaviour of management you describe can exist in workplaces however we do our best to educate, manage and inspire people to avoid it. Thankyou again for this very frank, albeit unflattering and specific feedback. All the best. Kind Regards.
