Pros
Decent benefits, up to paid schooling if you jump through enough hoops. Operations are fluid when half the shop aren't putting in their resignation.
Cons
Can be a very negative atmosphere and stressful. Compounded with insufficient managing, understaffed, undersupplied, undertrained, and underpaid. Everything depends on the strength of the team you have: This isn't a free for all sales job like I'm used to, where when you're busy it's as much money as you can run to; it's sometimes grumbling techs in the shop trying to find a way to do as little work as possible, or on the influence of drugs. Or working harder and faster to overcompensate for the weaker points in the team. All three situations lead to mistakes which the customers will eventually pick up on. On commission, technician mistakes come out of my pay, especially when they affect the safety of honest, hardworking, paying customers.
